Starbucks in New York

"The Starbucks in Yonkers is one of our favorite stops! We visited with our children during our trip and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, polite, and patient, even as we placed a large and detailed order. Their excellent customer service made our visit even more enjoyable. The location is convenient, with plenty of parking spots in front of the shopping center. I highly recommend stopping by this Starbucks if you’re in the area!"

"Good afternoon . I would like to share my experience of racial micro -aggression this morning at starbucks. as I waited in line to give my order to the cashier, a middle age white woman stood before me. The cashier was so courteous and kind, smiling and asking how else she might the lady. As I approached to give my order, no smile, "how can I help you" and with her head cocked to the side, looking me dead in my eyes, as if to say lets go sir. as a black man in this country/ world, I have desensitized myself to these behaviors, and as such just wanted to get my order and move on. she asked my name, which surprised me, for she knows my wife and I after being great customer for more that two years. But I was alone so she did not recognize me. This cashier has been employed there for two years or more, Latina, heavy accent, about 5'5' tall and black hair. I gave her my name and waited. after several people picked up their orders, I began to wonder If she failed to put my order in. Another cashier (White ) noticed that I had been sitting for a while and asked me what was my name and order. she picked up my drink from the holding tray and said this is yours, to which I responded my name is not John, (listed on the cup), but Chuck. she said no this is it because it was described on the cup. I picked up my drink, walked back to the cashier, and said : My name is Chuck, Not John, and she apologized. This is unacceptable. I patronize this starbucks and well as my wife, and son. I have never before had such treatment. To address me for my order with this mundane attitude, after fawning over the white customer ahead of me, then not even getting my name correct is affront to any customer, regardless of color. I hope this message find its way to the right person, because I do like the starbucks and will continue to patronize the place. But we need to treat all customer the same, not just white customers. Thank you"

"Beautiful large space in a restored industrial building with a vibe descending from the original Starbucks in Seattle (yes, I was there in the late 1980s before their national expansion). What really makes this location is the staff; they are friendly and welcoming clearly enjoy what they are doing. That makes all the difference!"

"Starbucks starts the holiday cheers, and so are we. We came to order holiday drinks, and the cups looked beautiful. I highly recommend the chestnut Praline latte. The place is very crowded and loud inside, but the seating area outside is peaceful and zen relaxing Overall 5 stars for Starbucks for service and the drinks quality"

"One of my favorite Starbucks location. Despite being constantly busy, the staffs are very friendly and greet every customer with a smile. The store is clean with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The location is conveniently located in a small complex with plenty of parking along with deli, Mexican, Asian Fusion, and Italian restaurant next door. A good spot for casual hang out and catch up as evident by locals spending time here; as well as work since these is cushion seat, table, and outlets for indoor seating. Music volume is just right in the background."

"This is the best Starbucks I’ve ever been to. The baristas were incredibly kind and nice to the customers. They were accommodating and very eager to help. We had an amazing coffee with the best quality of service. They really made my day!"

"Within about 5 seconds of entering the store, I spilled my entire venti iced coffee over my table and onto the ground. I felt so terrible and offered to clean it up but was told not to worry about it. The two gentlemen who cleaned up the whole mess in just a few minutes were extremely nice and reassuring. They even took my drink and made me a new one free of charge and someone walked over to my table and brought it to me! This was on 9/6 at about 4 pm, everyone working deserves a shout out for being very welcoming and accommodating. Thank you!"
